Die Suchmaschine Google speichert eine Kopie von jeder Webseite, die sie beim Erstellen des Suchindexes durchsucht, im so genannten Google Cache. Der Google Cache kann von jedem Nutzer betrachtet werden und ist vor allem dann nützlich, wenn eine Webseite vom Betreiber gelöscht wurde respektive gelöscht werden musste (wie beispielsweise Webseiten, die Gitarrentabulaturen anbieten und von der MPA verklagt wurden) oder die Seite ein Opfer des Slashdot-Effekts geworden ist.
Um direkt auf den Google Cache zuzugreifen, muss man die Adresse der Seite, die man betrachten will, an die folgende URL anhängen.
http://google.com/search?q=cache:www.adresse.de
Um eine spezielle Webseite zu betrachten, müssen Sie den kompletten Pfad zur Seite angeben.
http://google.com/search?q=cache:www.adresse.de/pfad/zur/seite.html
Für den Open-Source-Browser Firefox gibt es entsprechende Add-Ons, die das Durchsuchen des Caches erheblich erleichtern.

und wie oft wird der cache aktualisiert??? ist mir wichtig, da in einer mittlerweile gelöschten website, die wenn man mich googelt als erstes im cache rauskommt was sehr unangenehmes steht...
würde mich auch interessieren =) also wer weiß wo man nachlesen kann bitte bescheid sagen

kann man auch irgendwie das datum des caches auswählen???
am besten ihr verwendet alle google chrome, um den cache und datenbänke von google inc. nochmehr zu füllen...
...und somit auch googles kassen und macht
Versucht mal die "Wayback Machine", das Internet-Archiv. Quasi eine Web-Chronik!
